Mastercam 2023 - Live

Today marks the availability of the new Mastercam version, and there are so many new features to be excited for along with an overhaul of content available on our website. If you're looking to pick up the latest version, you can click here to head to the Mastercam website and login to download 2023.

Along with a wider library of sample parts and videos, I will cover some of the exciting new features in Mastercam 2023 below with more detail and dedicated material being released in the coming weeks for them.

  1. OptiRough Undercut Stock Detection - The Dynamic OptiRough and Area Roughing toolpaths can now support undercut stock conditions when rest machining. This is a huge improvement that results in significantly less air cutting.

  2. B-axis Contour Turning Toolpath - This is a new toolpath introduced in 2023 that allows the rotation of the B-axis while utilizing a turning tool meaning fewer tool changes, shorter cycle times, and hard to reach areas are now within reach using a single toolpath.

  3. Improved Unified Multiaxis Toolpath - Morph, Parallel, Along Curve, and Project Curve are now all included within the Unified Multiaxis toolpath that was first introduced in Mastercam 2022. This allows for far greater flexibility, advanced control availability, and more all with the benefit of the easy-to-use interface of the toolpath.

  4. Machine Group Setup - Now in Mastercam 2023 job setup has been modified to provide access to all the critical components from your stock to your simulation configuration. Import components and fixtures, position them, and setup your finished part master model all within the new MGS interface.

These are just a few of the new features available in the latest version, but there's even more to explore and take advantage of to improve your Mastercam, machining, and design experience!
