Intermediate Lathe

This two-day class will focus on the turning while incorporating milling toolpaths with live tooling for the Lathe or Mill-Turn Product. Machines to be covered will be from simple single spindle machines to dual spindle machines.

Agenda:

This class will cover C & Y-axis live milling on the lathe along with understanding and implementing routines such as stock transfer, pickoff and cutoff routines on both spindles. Users will learn new techniques for milling, engraving and stock Modeling as well.

Prerequisite(s): Basic Lathe, Basic Computer Skills, and CNC machining.
