Basic Mill

This is a three-day class that will focus on the Mastercam Mill product to develop programming fundamentals & set up procedures utilizing the Mastercam software. The course is designed for a user to build their milling programming skills in Mastercam to create Gcode and set-up sheets in an easy flow concept to part completion.

Agenda will focus on utilizing the newest strategies that will decrease programming time and increase productivity and tool life. These strategies will be presented in a manner that they can be applied to a variety of parts and machines.

A variety of topics will be covered including Importing Geometry, Creating Work Coordinate Systems (WCS), Stock Creation, Geometry Alterations, Contour Toolpath, Drilling & Tapping, Facing Toolpath, Pocketing Toolpath, Dynamic Milling Toolpath, Chamfering, Engraving, and Thread Milling.
