Mastercam Essentials |
||

This 2 day training focuses on the fundamentals of the Mastercam software and is the introductory course for new users. Day one covers software navigation, geometry creation, editing tools, and 2D/3D Design. Day 2 will cover basic 2D Mill toolpaths and how to apply them to wireframe and solid geometry.

Advanced 2D Mill |
||
This 2 day training picks up where the Essentials leaves off, focusing on advanced variations of the 2D Mill toolpaths in detail. The class will also cover using Solid and STL stock, using the WCS, an introduction to 4 Axis Rotary, and efficiency tips and tricks to streamline your programming. Prerequisite: Mastercam Essentials, Basic understanding of Windows operating system, and CNC machining

Basic Lathe |
||
This 2 day training will cover 2 Axis Lathe and C Axis toolpaths. Day one will focus on Job Setup such as defining and creating stock and chucks, also setting up Lathe tools. 2D Turning Toolpaths and Miscellaneous Operations such as Stock flip and Stock transfer will also be covered. Day 2 will cover C-Axis programming for live tools with a review of the previous days learned toolpaths. Prerequisite: Mastercam Essentials, Basic understanding of Windows operating system, and CNC machining

Surface Mill and Design |
||
This 2 day training covers surface and solid geometry and the toolpaths used to machine them. Day one will focus on the fundamentals of surface types and design. Day 2 will cover the Mastercam Surface Rough and Finish Surface toolpaths and where they apply to part models followed by Mastercam High Speed Surface Toolpaths. Prerequisite: Mastercam Essentials, Basic understanding of Windows operating system, and CNC machining

Multi-Axis |
||
This 2 day course covers Mastercam’s Multi-axis toolpaths. Day one will focus on the difference between Multi-axis positioning and simultaneous toolpaths along with the capabilities of the Mastercam Legacy Multi-Axis toolpaths such as Curve, Swarf, 5 Axis Drill, and Flowline. Day 2 covers the Advanced Multi-Axis toolpaths. Prerequisite: Mastercam Essentials, Surface Mill and Design, Basic understanding of Windows operating system, and CNC machining

Wire |
||
This 1 day class will cover Wirepaths. 2D paths such as contour and no core as well as 4-axis wirepaths will be discussed along the geometry necessary to create them. Prerequisite: Mastercam Essentials, Basic understanding of Windows operating system, and CNC machining

| Solid Design | ||
This 1 day course is an introductory to Solid Modeling for users interested in designing in Mastercam Solids. The class will focus primarily on creating models from prints as well as working with imported solid models from other CAD systems. Prerequisite: Mastercam Essentials, Basic understanding of Windows operating system.

| 2D HST | ||
| This 2-day course is a combined classroom with hands on experience using the HST toolpaths that are common on High Speed Machines. The first day will be going over strategies and operations using the Core Mill, Peel Mill, Blend Mill, Area Mill, Rest Mill, and Dynamic Mill toolpaths. Second day will conclude classroom exercise and cut on a variety of materials that incorporate the classroom curriculum. Knowledge of tooling is preferred but not required before taking class. A very educational experience for advanced 2D users that have the machine capability with very high feedrates.

| 4 Axis Rotary Mill | ||
This 1 day course covers 4th axis in Mastercam to create toolpaths for machines with a single rotary axis. The class will focus on creating and using toolplanes for indexing, as well as full rotary axis cutting. The Mastercam 2D and Surface toolpaths only, will be covered as they apply to Horizontal and Vertical applications.

| Mill-Turn | ||
This 2-day course is an extension of our Lathe training for those users who have more than just C axis capability on their machines. We discuss the use of milling, drilling, and lathe toolpaths on a variety of complex Turning machines. The students will create toolpaths using current strategies for Upper Turret, Lower Turret and Rotary Tool Spindles along with Sub Spindles that are common for Mill Turn Machines. Knowledge of basic Lathe and Mill is required before taking the class.

Please note: The Surface Mill and Design class and the Multi-axis class are advanced courses and are intended for those students who have met the recommended prerequisites: Due to the amount of course content, the basic functions of Mastercam X covered in the above prerequisites will not be reviewed. Please take this into consideration when scheduling.
